jane iredale The Skin Care Makeup®, official cosmetics sponsor for this year's Miss Earth South Africa in association with Consol, is thrilled to congratulate Nondyebo Dzingwa on being crowned 2010's Green Goddess.

Nondy was born in Butterworth and grew up in Umtata in the Eastern Cape.

Former Miss SA and self–proclaimed Eco-Warrior Michelle Mountain, brand ambassador for the jane iredale brand in South Africa says; "On behalf of jane iredale The Skin Care Makeup® we would like to congratulate this beautiful young woman for this remarkable achievement. Nondy's sense of environmental responsibility to both herself and this country is truly inspiring."

Nondy's greatest wish for a greener South Africa is to see the use of renewable energy sources in rural areas being encouraged. "I believe that our country needs to harness natural resources, such as wind, in order to electrify rural communities while simultaneously reducing the emission of green house gases", she says.

The Miss Earth SA initiative aims to empower young South African women with the knowledge and platform to create a sustainable difference through environmental work, a principle that resonates with the jane iredale brand.

Michelle adds; "Being on board as official makeup sponsor has created a relevant platform to motivate young women to not only promote awareness for the preservation of our environment, but also to lead by example through following a natural, healthy lifestyle and demonstrating that it is possible to be glamorous, gorgeous and 'green'".
