The Bergkelder Vinotèque Wine Bank has set up a simple system that makes it possible for new and current members to bid. Spokesperson for the Vinotèque, Michael van Deventer, explains; "We are pleased to offer this added value opportunity to members of the Vinotèque Wine Bank, who simply need to send us a completed bid mandate form, available in electronic format from our office, with the details of the wines they'd like to acquire so that we can bid on their behalf. Members of the public who are not yet Vinotèque members but are interested in participating at the auction are welcome to join before 16th August via a simple registration process."

Successful bidders will receive their wines via direct delivery as soon as possible after the auction.

Established in 1984, the Vinotèque Wine Bank is part of the historic Bergkelder winery located on the outskirts of Stellenbosch. It offers members a private cellar in which to store the wines they purchase from the Vinotèque, which are stored and matured under optimal conditions. Van Deventer comments; "Members enjoy access to a number of benefits, including a superb range of wines, annual maturation reports, a gift service and free delivery to name a few."
